About TEKWOODS
More than 25 years ago, Herre Hoekstra (architectural draftsman) founded Tekwoods bv, the consultancy and drawing office for prefab wood frame construction. From the team of BIM modelers, working with AutoCAD, the need arose for a toolset specifically for timber frame construction. From there TEKWOODS.3D BIM genesis.
Tekwoods Software bv
Tekwoods Software bv was founded in 2011 to be able to supply the developed drawing software for prefab wood frame construction to third parties as well. Owners Hessel and Jacob, together with a team of programmers, continuously work on the further development of TEKWOODS.3D BIM.
Drawing program and training
But they do not stop there: in addition to the drawing program, training courses are now offered and software is also provided to convert the 3D drawings to data files for sawing and milling!
We are proud to say that TEKWOODS.3D BIM has been further developed into the most user-friendly HSB toolset for BIM modelers and HSB drafters working with AutoCAD.

Houtstad IJlst
Tekwoods Software bv is located in IJlst in the former factory of Nooitgedagt where they manufactured woodworking tools and skates, among other things. The Nooitgedagt collection is housed in museum and workshop Houtstad-IJlst. The museum is located in IJlst next to the sawmill which was brought in as a kit from Zaandam in the 19th century.
