Why a new version?
Autodesk makes changes to AutoCAD every year. These include not only new features and improvements (you can read more about them at Autodesk.co.uk), but also modifications “under the hood” of the program. These less visible changes often affect add-ons such as TEKWOODS.3D BIM. To ensure that everything continues to work seamlessly, our – Autodesk-certified programmers – perform the necessary updates.
In addition to the necessary modifications, TEKWOODS 3D.BIM 2025 also contains a number of (minor) improvements. Below you can read which ones.
Edge wood customizable
Thus, through the [Panel construction] menu it is possible to customize the four sides of the edge wood individually.
Top plate roof
Change in top plate roof generation
Through the [Roof] menu it is possible to add and modify a Top plate. Also the function Timber under gaps has been added.
Sticker information for roof elements
As with wall elements, exports will now include sticker information for roof elements.
Export settings
When exporting your drawing via [iBOM] the Export path and now also the last selected folder is remembered.
Wood percentage
The wood percentage calculation has been updated. Wood percentage A now contains all the wood. Wood percentage B contains all the wood excluding the wood marked by the draftsman.
Timber options
New timber sizes have been added.
